Today was Homecoming for my childhood home church. We enjoyed fellowship and food.

The sermon was on the well-worn salt and light passage from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. The idea (for those unfamiliar): we as believers are to be the salt (preservers and flavor) of the world; also, we are to be the light — the goodness — of the world.

That is a beautiful, allegorical way to present a call to action for every Christian worldwide. It’s needed more now than ever.
